Peterbald Rotumääritelmä(FIFe)

Pää:

Muoto: Keskikokoinen, tasapainoinen ja oikeassa suhteessa vartaloon. Suora kiila joka alkaa nenästä ja vähitellen levenee korvia kohden (V-muoto). Kiilassa ei saa olla painaumia. Kallo sivusta katsottuna hieman kupera.

Profiili(nenä): Ilman painaumia oleva, otsasta alkava suora ja pitkä yhtenäinen linja.

Korvat:

Muoto: Suuret ja väritetyt, avoimet tyvestä.

Sijainti: Jatkaa kiilan linjaa.

Silmät:

Muoto: Keskikokoiset, eivät karsastavat, eivätkä liian syvällä. mantelinmuotoiset ja hieman vinot, nenään kohden harmoniassa kiilan kanssa.

Väri: Vihreät tai siniset naamiokissoilla.

Niska:

Pitkä ja siro

Vartalo:

Pitkä ja hoikka, lihaksikas, mutta silti elegantti. Hartiat eivät saa olla leveämmät kuin lantio.

Jalat:

Tassut: Pienet ja ovaalit.

Häntä:

Hyvin pitkä, kapea myös tyvestä, piiskamainen.

Turkki:

Iho: ohut ja ryppyinen, flockilla alle 2mm turkki, sallittu koko vartalon peittävänä, Kasvoissa, hännässä ja korvissa sekä jaloissa sallitaan myös ohut karvoitus. Täysi karvattomuus suositeltavaa.

Väri: Kaikki värit ja kuviot sallittuja.

Virheinä pidetään mm: Pää; liian lyhyt, lyhyt kuono, leuka liian heikko tai liian vahva, korvat liian suuret tai asettuneet liian lähelle toisiaan, silmät liian suuret tai eivät tarpeeksi avonaiset. Vartalo; Liian pieni, lyhyet jalat, liian kevytrakenteinen. Iho; Liikaa ryppyjä.

Peterbald Standard (FIFe)

Head:

Shape: Medium size, in proportion to the body, well balanced;wedge shaped with straight lines. The wedge starst at the nose and gradually increases in width in straight lines on each side to the ears. There should be no whisker break in these two lines.

Skull: Viewed in profile slightly convex.

Profile-nose: long and straight continuing the line from the forehead without any break.

Muzzle & chin: Narrow. Of medium size. The tip of the chin forms a vertical line with the tip of the nose.

Ears:

Shape: Large and pointed, wide at the base.

Plasement: To continue the lines of the wedge.

Eyes:

Shape:Medium in size, neitherprotruding nor recessed. Almond in shape and set slightly slanted towards the nose to be in harmony with lines of the wedge.

Colour: Green, or blue for pointed.

Neck:

is long and slender.

Body:

Sructure: Lond and svelte, well muscled but still dainty and elegant. The shoulders are not wider than the hips.

Legs:

Paws: Long and oval.

Tail:

Very long;thin, also at the base;tapers to a fine point.

Coat:

Skin: Thin, wrinkled. Residual flock furnishing, no more than 2mm lenght, on the whole of the body may occur, as well as short sparse coat on the muzzle, ears and lefs. Single hairs may also occur on the tail. Complete hairlesness is preferred.

Colour: All colour varieties and patterns are permitted, including those with white and point varieties. Any amount of white is permitted. In completely hairless cat it is impossible to define a specific tabby pattern.

Remarks:

The x variety "brush" has fine wawy, often wiry fur on the whole body, with bald areas on the head, upper part of neck or on the back. These cats can be used for breeding, participate in shows, but cannot obtain certificates.

Outcross with other breeds: BAL/OLH/OSH/SIA/SYL/SYS, only for the breeding of Peterbalds.

Only naked cats will be registered as PEB-Peterbald. However, following the registration, kittens from such outcrosses are first registered as XSH and can  then be presented in Control Class and possibly be re-registered as PEB. All others will remain registered as XSH and can only be used for breeding of PEB after permission from the national FIFe Member. Breeding these XSH with BAL/OSH/OLH/SYL/SYS/SIA is srictly forbidden.

Faults:

 Head:

• Too short, broad or round head

• Short muzzle

• break in profile

• Pinch

• Chin too stronf or too weak

• ears too small or too close set

• eyes too small, round or insufficiently slanted

• Snub nose

  Body:

• Short, massive body
• Short legs
• Too finely boned

Skin:

• A too thick leatherly skin and too many wrinkles
• too many long and curly hairs
