Hairless cats are a lesser problem, if you are allergic to cat hair, but if you are allergic to cat saliva, then there is no difference between normal cats and hairless cats. Hairless cats usually give less of a reaction becouse they don't have any hair and if you wash them often, they shed less skin particles. The less hair cat has, the lesser allergic reaction. Don Sphynx is the great choise if you are allergic. Some people who suffer from cat allergies can tolerate living with Don Sphynx cats. However, depending on the type and severity of the individual's allergic reactions, there are still people who cannot live with this breed.

If you are allergic you should always contact your doctor first, if you are considering purchasing a cat. It's traumatic and inhumane to need to get rid of a cat, if you purchased it without considering if someone would be allergic to it. Family member can also suffer, espesially children...
